Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bexident Encías Uso Diario is a therapeutic toothpaste developed by ISDIN for the daily prevention and treatment of gingivitis. Its primary mechanism of action involves the combined antiseptic and antimicrobial effects of cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) and cymenol (o-cymen-5-ol), which target oral bacteria and inhibit the formation of dental plaque and biofilm. The formulation is further enhanced with sodium fluoride for enamel remineralization and anti-caries protection, as well as panthenol and allantoin to promote mucosal regeneration and soothe gum inflammation. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing plaque index and bleeding on probing compared to standard fluoride toothpastes.
