Overview

**BEY1107 + temozolomide** is an experimental combination therapy being investigated primarily for glioblastoma multiforme. BEY1107 (also known as Avotaciclib) is a selective small molecule inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1), resulting in G2/M cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and suppression of cancer stem cell renewal. Temozolomide is an alkylating agent that induces cell death by methylating DNA at the O6 and N7 positions of guanine, leading to DNA damage and apoptosis. The combination is designed to enhance therapeutic efficacy and potentially overcome resistance to standard cytotoxic chemotherapy. Clinical development is ongoing in phase 1 trials for recurrent or progressive glioblastoma multiforme.
