Overview

BFM-PO-001 is a plant-produced monoclonal antibody developed by Baiya Phytopharm using their proprietary PlantamAb™ platform. It is designed to target and neutralize Immunoglobulin E (IgE), a key mediator in the allergic response. By binding to circulating IgE, BFM-PO-001 prevents it from attaching to high-affinity receptors (FcεRI) on mast cells and basophils, thereby reducing the release of inflammatory mediators that trigger asthma symptoms. This drug is currently in development for the treatment of asthma and potentially other allergic conditions.
