Overview

BFM-RSV-001 is a plant-produced monoclonal antibody being developed by Baiya Phytopharm for the prevention and treatment of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) infection. It is manufactured using the company's proprietary PlantamAb™ platform, which utilizes plants as expression systems for recombinant proteins. BFM-RSV-001 specifically targets the RSV fusion (F) protein, a critical component for viral entry into host cells. By binding to the F protein, the antibody neutralizes the virus and inhibits the fusion of the viral envelope with the host cell membrane, thereby preventing infection and viral spread.
