Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BFP-B3T-001 is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody being developed by Baiya Phytopharm for the treatment of brain metastases. The drug is engineered to target Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) while simultaneously engaging a blood-brain barrier (BBB) receptor. This dual-targeting approach is designed to facilitate the transport of the antibody across the BBB, enabling effective delivery into the central nervous system (CNS) to inhibit PD-1-mediated immune evasion by metastatic tumor cells in the brain. By overcoming the delivery challenges typically associated with large-molecule therapeutics in the CNS, BFP-B3T-001 aims to provide a more effective immunotherapy option for patients with secondary brain tumors.
