Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BFP-ICK-001 is a plant-produced bifunctional monoclonal antibody being developed by Baiya Phytopharm. It is designed to simultaneously target Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) and provide Interleukin-15 (IL-15) signaling activity. By combining PD-1 antagonism with IL-15-mediated immune stimulation, the drug aims to enhance the activation and proliferation of T cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells within the tumor microenvironment, potentially overcoming resistance to conventional checkpoint inhibitors. The molecule is expressed using the proprietary BaiyaPharming™ plant-based platform. As of 2024, BFP-ICK-001 is in the IND-enabling phase of development for unspecified oncology indications.
