Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BG-111 is a therapeutic cancer protein vaccine being developed by BioGate Precision Medicine, under a technology license from Taipei Veterans General Hospital. It is designed to stimulate the patient's own immune system to produce endogenous antibodies against programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), thereby generating an immune-checkpoint-inhibitor-like effect. BG-111 is currently in the research phase for the treatment of melanoma and other cancers, offering a potentially cost-effective alternative to traditional monoclonal antibody-based checkpoint inhibitors.
