BG-9 is a preclinical-stage fully human monoclonal antibody and potential antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by BioGate Precision Medicine. It targets the BG-9 antigen, a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored membrane protein that is overexpressed in several cancers, including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and esophageal cancer, while showing limited expression in normal tissues. BG-9 is linked to critical oncogenic pathways, specifically the TGF-beta and EGFR signaling pathways. Preclinical studies have identified several fully human antibody candidates targeting BG-9 that exhibit strong anti-tumor activity, high binding affinity, and efficient internalization, making them suitable as standalone therapeutics or as payload carriers for ADCs.
