Overview

BG18 is a preclinical-stage investigational compound being developed by Beijing Biostar Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of solid tumors. It functions as a Protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) inhibitor. PP2A is a ubiquitous serine/threonine phosphatase that plays a critical role in regulating the cell cycle, DNA replication, and various signal transduction pathways, including the Akt and MAPK pathways. By inhibiting PP2A, BG18 aims to modulate these pathways to exert anti-tumor effects. The drug is currently part of Biostar's early-stage pipeline alongside other oncology assets.
