Overview

BG2102 is an investigational allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-modified gamma-delta (γδ) T-cell therapy being developed by Guangzhou Bio-gene Technology for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapy utilizes the unique properties of γδ T cells, which possess innate-like broad-spectrum tumor recognition and MHC-unrestricted cytotoxicity. This MHC-independence allows for the development of "off-the-shelf" allogeneic products with a reduced risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) compared to traditional alpha-beta T-cell therapies. BG2102 is engineered to target an undisclosed tumor-associated antigen to mediate anti-tumor effects in solid malignancies. It is currently in preclinical development.
