Overview

BG2205 is an autologous bispecific Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy developed by Guangzhou Bio-gene Technology. It is designed to target both CD19 and B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) simultaneously. The drug's mechanism of action involves immunologic cytotoxicity and T lymphocyte replacements, leading to the effective elimination of naive B cells, mature B cells, and plasma cells. This profound depletion of the B-lymphocyte population is intended to induce immune reconstitution and restore normal immune function, making it a potential treatment for autoimmune diseases and certain hematologic malignancies.
