BG2401 is an *in vivo* modified CAR-T cell therapy targeting CD19, being developed by Guangzhou Bio-gene Technology for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. Unlike traditional *ex vivo* CAR-T therapies that require the extraction, modification, and re-infusion of patient T cells, BG2401 utilizes an *in vivo* modification approach to generate CAR-T cells directly within the patient's body. The therapy is designed to enable the specific and robust expression of CD19-targeted Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CARs) on endogenous T cells, which subsequently identify and eliminate pathogenic B lymphocytes. This B-cell depletion strategy is intended to restore immune homeostasis and induce immune reconstitution in patients with various autoimmune disorders.
