BGB-21447 is an investigational, orally administered small molecule inhibitor that selectively targets the anti-apoptotic protein B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2). By inhibiting Bcl-2, which is often overexpressed in various hematologic malignancies and some solid tumors, the drug aims to restore apoptotic processes and induce cancer cell death. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of mature B-cell malignancies—including relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL), follicular lymphoma (FL), marginal zone lymphoma (MZL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and Richter transformation—as well as hormone receptor positive/HER2-negative breast cancer.
