Overview

BGB-B455 is a bispecific antibody developed by BeiGene that targets claudin 6 (CLDN6) on tumor cells and the CD3 receptor on T cells. By binding to both CLDN6, which is preferentially expressed in certain tumors, and CD3 on T cells, BGB-B455 acts as an immune cell engager designed to promote a CLDN6-dependent antitumor immune response. This mechanism aims to enhance the immune system's ability to attack cancer cells while minimizing systemic toxicity. The drug is currently being investigated for use in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors expressing CLDN6[1][2][4][5][7][8].
