Overview

BGC101 (also known as EnEPC) is an autologous cell therapy being developed by BioGenCell for the treatment of microvascular diseases, specifically chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLI) and peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The therapy is produced using the company's proprietary TRACT (Tissue Repair by Autologous Cell Therapy) platform, which processes a patient's own blood to create a concentrated mixture of enriched endothelial progenitor cells (EnEPCs) and multipotent adult hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPCs). Once administered, these cells are intended to migrate to ischemic tissues, promote angiogenesis, and stimulate the formation of new functional blood vessels, thereby improving blood flow and preventing limb amputation in patients who have failed standard revascularization treatments.
