Overview

BH011 is a novel formulation of docetaxel developed for intravesical administration in patients with high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) who have failed Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) therapy. The drug is being investigated as an alternative to radical cystectomy, aiming to provide a less invasive therapeutic option for this patient population. Docetaxel is a microtubule inhibitor that disrupts cell division, leading to cancer cell death. The current clinical studies are focused on evaluating the safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy of BH011 in NMIBC patients after BCG failure[1][2][8].
