Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BH3788 is an early-stage bispecific antibody candidate being developed by Beijing Hanmei Pharmaceutical, the Chinese subsidiary of Hanmi Pharmaceutical. Currently in the discovery phase, BH3788 is designed to target Trophoblast cell-surface antigen 2 (Trop2) and a second, currently undisclosed target for the treatment of solid tumors. Trop2 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is frequently overexpressed in various epithelial malignancies, including breast, lung, and gastric cancers, where it promotes tumor cell proliferation and invasion. By employing a bispecific format, BH3788 aims to provide a more targeted therapeutic approach, potentially through dual-pathway inhibition or by bridging tumor cells with immune effector cells to enhance anti-tumor activity.
