Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BHP01 is a chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy under development by Chengdu Brilliant Pharmaceutical for the treatment of small cell lung cancer (SCLC). This therapy targets both PD-L1 and delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3), which are aberrantly expressed on SCLC cells. The construct incorporates a 4-1BB co-stimulatory domain to enhance T-cell activation and persistence. The mechanism of action involves immunologic cytotoxicity through engineered T lymphocyte replacement, aiming to selectively target and destroy tumor cells expressing PD-L1 or DLL3. As of April 2024, BHP01 is in preclinical development with plans for a phase I clinical trial in patients with relapsed/refractory SCLC[1][5].
