Overview

BHV-1100 is a bispecific small molecule Antibody Recruiting Molecule (ARM) developed by Biohaven Pharmaceuticals in strategic alliance with PeptiDream for the treatment of multiple myeloma. It is designed to target the CD38 protein, which is highly overexpressed on multiple myeloma cells. The mechanism of action involves BHV-1100 binding to CD38 on tumor cells and simultaneously to human immunoglobulin (Ig), which recruits and activates natural killer (NK) cells—specifically autologous cytokine-induced memory-like (CIML) NK cells—to induce antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity (ADCC). This approach is intended to destroy cancer cells while avoiding the NK cell fratricide often associated with other CD38-targeted therapies. The therapy is administered as a combination of BHV-1100, autologous CIML NK cells, and immunoglobulin, and has received FDA Orphan Drug designation for multiple myeloma.
