Overview

**BHV-1200** is a hyperimmune globulin mimic (HGM) developed using Biohaven's proprietary Multimodal Antibody Therapy Enhancer (MATE) platform, which employs synthetic peptide binders to selectively conjugate to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, enabling broad binding and neutralization of multiple viral strains, including wild-type, B.1.1.7 (English), and B.1.351 (South African) variants. In preclinical studies, it substantially reduced viral entry into cells and activated antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and phagocytosis. Initially developed by Yale University and licensed by Biohaven, accelerated development was supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; its global R&D status remains preclinical, primarily for infectious diseases like COVID-19, with no reported clinical trials or advancement to human testing.[3][5][6][8]
