Overview

BHV-8555 is an investigational, brain-penetrant, orally available small molecule designed to prevent alpha-synuclein aggregation. Developed by Biohaven, the compound is being advanced as a potential disease-modifying therapy for Parkinson's disease. By targeting the aggregation of alpha-synuclein, a key pathological hallmark of Parkinson's disease and other synucleinopathies, BHV-8555 aims to mitigate neurodegeneration and slow disease progression. It is currently in early-stage development under Biohaven's discovery engine.
