Overview

BHVI1 eye drops are an experimental topical ophthalmic formulation developed by Hai Yen Eye Care in collaboration with the Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI). The drug is a small molecule solution currently in Phase 2 clinical development for the treatment and control of myopia progression in pediatric patients. While the specific active ingredient of BHVI1 has not been publicly disclosed, the BHVI eye drop series is associated with pharmacological agents known to influence axial eye growth, such as atropine and 7-methylxanthine. In clinical studies, BHVI1 is being evaluated as a monotherapy and in combination with BHVI2 to determine its efficacy in reducing the annual rate of myopia progression compared to standard spectacles.
