Overview

**BI 1387446 + ezabenlimab** is a combination of two experimental immunotherapy drugs developed by Boehringer Ingelheim for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors. **BI 1387446** is a small molecule STING (Stimulator of Interferon Genes) agonist administered intratumorally, which activates the innate immune response and promotes anti-tumor immunity. **Ezabenlimab** (also known as BI 754091) is a monoclonal antibody checkpoint inhibitor targeting PD-1 (Programmed cell death protein 1), administered intravenously, blocking the PD-1 pathway to enhance T cell activity against cancer cells. The combination was investigated in a completed phase I dose-escalation trial, but development of BI 1387446 in this setting has been discontinued[1][2][3][5].
