BI-1607 is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody developed by BioInvent International. It targets the Fc gamma receptor IIB (FcγRIIB, also known as CD32B), an inhibitory receptor expressed on immune cells. By selectively blocking FcγRIIB, BI-1607 is designed to enhance the efficacy and overcome resistance to existing cancer treatments such as targeted monoclonal antibodies (e.g., trastuzumab) and immune checkpoint inhibitors. The drug acts through mechanisms including antagonism of Fc gamma receptor IIB, stimulation of T lymphocytes, and promotion of antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity. It is being investigated primarily for solid tumors—including HER2-positive breast cancer, gastric cancer, adenocarcinoma of the gastroesophageal junction, and metastatic melanoma—with administration via intravenous infusion[1][2][3][4][5][6][8].
