BI 3011441 is an orally administered small molecule inhibitor that selectively targets and inhibits mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase (MEK). By binding to MEK, it blocks the activation of downstream effector proteins such as extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), thereby inhibiting the proliferation of tumor cells with aberrant RAS/RAF/MEK pathway signaling[1][2]. The drug has been developed primarily for oncology indications, particularly for cancers harboring NRAS or KRAS mutations.
