This is a combination immunotherapy regimen consisting of: - **BI1361849** (also known as CV9202): an mRNA-based therapeutic cancer vaccine encoding six non-small cell lung cancer-associated antigens (NY-ESO-1, MAGE-C1, MAGE-C2, survivin, 5T4, and MUC-1). It is designed to induce targeted immune responses against these tumor antigens. The mRNA is protamine-formulated and administered intradermally. - **Durvalumab**: a human monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor T-cell activity. - **Tremelimumab**: a human monoclonal antibody targeting cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4), also acting as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to further stimulate the immune response. The combination aims to synergistically boost anti-tumor immunity by both priming the immune system with tumor-specific antigens via vaccination and releasing inhibitory checkpoints on T cells. This regimen has been investigated primarily in advanced non-small cell lung carcinoma in early-phase clinical trials[8][1].
