BIC-19GG is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the CD19 antigen, which is predominantly expressed on the surface of B-lineage cells. Developed by Beijing Immunocure Biotechnology, the therapy is currently being evaluated for the treatment of CD19-positive hematological malignancies, specifically relapsed or refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) and B-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B-LBL) in pediatric patients. The process involves harvesting a patient's T cells, genetically engineering them to express a CAR specific to CD19, and then reinfusing them into the patient to facilitate the targeted destruction of malignant B cells.
