Bictegravir + lenalidomide is a hypothetical combination of two distinct pharmaceutical agents with different mechanisms and indications. Bictegravir is an integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI) used primarily in the treatment of HIV-1 infection. It works by blocking the HIV integrase enzyme, preventing viral DNA from integrating into the host genome and thereby inhibiting viral replication[5][8]. Lenalidomide is an immunomodulatory agent and thalidomide derivative used to treat multiple myeloma, certain lymphomas (mantle cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, marginal zone lymphoma), and anemia associated with myelodysplastic syndromes. Its mechanism involves modulation of cytokine production, enhancement of T-cell and NK-cell activity, inhibition of angiogenesis in tumors, and direct targeting of cereblon as part of the CRL4 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex leading to degradation of key transcription factors essential for malignant cell survival[2][3][6]. There are no known approved or investigational uses for this specific drug combination.
