BiCure ortho MSCp is an autologous cell therapy developed by Bioinova for the treatment of articular cartilage defects, particularly in the knee. The therapy involves the extraction of mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) from the patient's own bone marrow, which are then expanded ex vivo in a specialized laboratory environment. Once administered via intra-articular injection or surgical implantation, these cells are intended to facilitate tissue repair by differentiating into chondrocytes and secreting paracrine factors that modulate the local inflammatory environment and stimulate the regeneration of hyaline-like cartilage. This regenerative approach aims to restore joint function and alleviate pain in patients with focal cartilage injuries.
