Bienenyaku A is an over-the-counter (OTC) combination drug developed by Kokando Pharmaceutical for the symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis, acute rhinitis, and sinusitis. Marketed under the "Kunihiro" brand, it contains a blend of active ingredients designed to address multiple symptoms: d-chlorpheniramine maleate acts as an antihistamine to reduce sneezing and runny nose; pseudoephedrine hydrochloride serves as a decongestant to alleviate nasal congestion; belladonna total alkaloids provide anticholinergic effects to suppress excess nasal secretion; dipotassium glycyrrhizinate acts as an anti-inflammatory agent; and anhydrous caffeine is included to counteract potential drowsiness and assist in symptom relief. It is administered orally in tablet form.
