Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bifid-Triple-Viable is a probiotic combination product manufactured by Neimengu Shuangqi Pharmaceutical, containing live strains of *Bifidobacterium longum*, *Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus*, and *Streptococcus thermophilus*. This formulation is designed to regulate intestinal flora and has been utilized in clinical research to evaluate its impact on the neonatal gut microbiota when administered to pregnant women. In a study led by the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University, the blend was administered to women in their third trimester (from 32 weeks to delivery) to investigate the transmission and establishment of beneficial bacteria in infants. The product acts by colonizing the gastrointestinal tract, competing with pathogenic bacteria, and modulating the local immune environment to support a healthy microbiome and influence the early development of the neonatal gut microbiota.
