Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus, Enterococcus and Bacillus cereus tablets (live) is a quadruple probiotic pharmaceutical product primarily developed and manufactured in China. It is composed of four live bacterial strains: *Bifidobacterium infantis*, *Lactobacillus acidophilus*, *Enterococcus faecalis*, and *Bacillus cereus*. The product is designed to treat intestinal flora imbalance (dysbiosis) and associated symptoms such as acute or chronic diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal distension. Its mechanism of action involves the direct replenishment of beneficial commensal bacteria and the consumption of oxygen by *Bacillus cereus*, which facilitates the growth of anaerobic species like *Bifidobacterium*. It is frequently used as a control or adjunctive therapy in clinical trials for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other gastrointestinal conditions in China.
