Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bifidobacterium bifidum F35 is a specific strain of Bifidobacterium bifidum, a Gram-positive, strictly anaerobic bacterium commonly found in the human gastrointestinal tract. As a probiotic, B. bifidum strains are known for their beneficial effects on gut health, including modulation of the intestinal microbiota and enhancement of mucosal barrier function. The F35 strain has been studied for its fermentation characteristics and potential health benefits when used in food products such as fermented hazelnut milk[1][3][9]. Like other B. bifidum strains, it may exert anti-inflammatory effects and help restore microbial balance in the gut[2][5]. Probiotic preparations containing Bifidobacterium species are primarily indicated for prevention or treatment of gastrointestinal disorders such as diarrhea, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)[5][6].
