This is a multi-strain probiotic combination containing Bifidobacterium lactis BB-12, Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-5, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Saccharomyces boulardii. These strains are among the most clinically studied probiotics for digestive and immune health. - **Bifidobacterium lactis BB-12** and **Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-5** have been shown to help alleviate chronic constipation in elderly patients, reduce symptoms of ulcerative colitis after surgery, improve tolerance to lactose in lactose-intolerant individuals, and reduce the severity of antibiotic-associated diarrhea[1][7]. They exhibit anti-inflammatory effects by modulating NF-kB signaling pathways and reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha[2][5]. - **Lactobacillus plantarum** is known for its ability to support gut barrier function and modulate immune responses (general knowledge). - **Saccharomyces boulardii** is a non-pathogenic yeast widely used for prevention or treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhea and other gastrointestinal disorders (general knowledge).
