Overview

This is a combination probiotic and prebiotic supplement containing two well-characterized probiotic strains—Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BB-12 and Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-5—together with the prebiotic fiber oligofructose. The probiotics are live microorganisms that confer health benefits by modulating the gut microbiota, supporting gastrointestinal function, enhancing immune responses, and reducing inflammation. Oligofructose serves as a fermentable dietary fiber that selectively stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria in the colon (prebiotic effect). Clinical studies have shown this combination can help alleviate chronic constipation, reduce antibiotic-associated diarrhea, improve symptoms in ulcerative colitis patients post-surgery, support restoration of gut microbiota after antibiotics or H. pylori eradication therapy, and may exert anti-inflammatory effects via modulation of TLR2-mediated NF-kB/MAPK signaling pathways[1][2][4][6][8]. The product is typically used as a dietary supplement for digestive health.
