Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bifidobacterium-Lactobacillus triple live bacteria is a probiotic pharmaceutical product primarily marketed in China under the brand name Golden Bifid (Jinshuangqi). It is a live biotherapeutic product (LBP) formulation that typically consists of three bacterial strains: *Bifidobacterium longum*, *Lactobacillus acidophilus*, and *Enterococcus faecalis*. The drug is designed to restore the natural balance of intestinal flora, inhibit the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms, and strengthen the intestinal mucosal barrier. It is clinically approved for the treatment of intestinal dysbiosis and associated symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal distension. Recent clinical research, including Phase 4 trials conducted at institutions like West China Hospital, is evaluating its efficacy in treating small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), intestinal methanogen overgrowth (IMO), and as an adjunctive therapy for inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
