Overview

Bifidobacterium quadruple live bacteria tablets is a probiotic combination therapy consisting of four live bacterial strains: *Bifidobacterium infantis*, *Lactobacillus acidophilus*, *Enterococcus faecalis*, and *Bacillus cereus*. It is primarily used to treat intestinal dysbiosis and associated symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, and indigestion. The mechanism of action involves the synergistic interaction of the four strains: *Bacillus cereus* acts as a facultative anaerobe that consumes oxygen, creating a favorable environment for the growth of the other three anaerobic or facultative anaerobic strains. This restoration of the intestinal microecology inhibits the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria and reduces the production of endotoxins. In clinical research, the tablets are being evaluated for their ability to improve infection control and prevent recurrence in patients with cirrhosis and spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) by stabilizing the gut-liver axis and reducing bacterial translocation.
