Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bigflam Fast Tab is an oral fixed-dose combination therapy developed by Ultrachem Pharmaceuticals for the management of pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with various musculoskeletal and joint disorders, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, as well as post-surgical and post-traumatic wound healing. The formulation combines the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) diclofenac sodium with the bioflavonoid rutoside trihydrate and the proteolytic enzymes trypsin and bromelain. Diclofenac sodium provides rapid analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes and reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Trypsin and bromelain act as anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous proteases that break down inflammatory proteins, clear fibrin clots, and improve local microcirculation. Rutoside trihydrate acts as an antioxidant and vasoprotective agent that strengthens blood vessels and reduces capillary permeability, thereby accelerating tissue repair and reducing edema.
