BIL-010t

BIL-010t is a topical ointment formulation containing highly purified sheep polyclonal immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies targeting the non-functional form of the purinergic P2X7 receptor (nf-P2X7). This variant of the P2X7 receptor, termed nfP2X7, is present on cancer cell membranes and is associated with loss of a critical function involved in cell death. By specifically binding to nfP2X7, BIL-010t aims to inhibit its pathological signaling, which plays an important role in cancer progression. The drug has been developed primarily as a novel topical therapy for basal cell carcinoma (BCC), showing good safety and tolerability in phase I clinical trials with evidence of efficacy such as reduction or stabilization of lesion size.
