Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Biladay-M is a fixed-dose combination medication containing bilastine and montelukast sodium, developed and marketed by Tabq Therapeutics. Bilastine is a non-sedating, long-acting second-generation H1-antihistamine that selectively antagonizes peripheral H1 receptors to alleviate allergic symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, and ocular itching. Montelukast is a selective cysteinyl leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) that blocks the CysLT1 receptor, thereby inhibiting the inflammatory effects of leukotrienes in the airways and nasal mucosa. This combination is primarily indicated for the management of allergic rhinitis, providing synergistic relief by addressing both histamine- and leukotriene-mediated pathways of the allergic response.
