Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Biling Weitong Granules is a proprietary Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) developed and manufactured by Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group (specifically its Long Feng Tang subsidiary). The formulation is composed of several botanical extracts, including *Piper longum* (Biba), *Melia toosendan* (Chuanlianzi), *Corydalis yanhusuo* (Yanhusuo), *Bupleurum chinense* (Chaihu), *Paeonia lactiflora* (Baishao), *Cyperus rotundus* (Xiangfu), and *Glycyrrhiza uralensis* (Gancao). It is clinically indicated for the treatment of gastric disorders such as functional dyspepsia and peptic ulcers, particularly those presenting with symptoms of epigastric pain, bloating, and acid reflux. The drug functions by 'soothing the liver and harmonizing the stomach,' which translates to pharmacological effects including gastric mucosal protection, regulation of gastric acid secretion, and analgesic activity.
