Overview

Binafuxi is a traditional Uighur medicine (TUM) formulated as granules for the treatment of the common cold, specifically the heat syndrome (hot cold) variant. Developed by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Institute of Drug Research and Xinjiang Yinduolan Pharmaceutical, it is derived from traditional medicinal plants, notably *Viola tianschanica* (known as Binafxi in Uighur). The drug has undergone Phase II and Phase III clinical trials in China to assess its efficacy in symptom resolution and safety profile.
