Overview

BIND-014 is a prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted Accurin (polymeric nanoparticle) containing docetaxel. It has a diameter of approximately 100nm and is designed to improve the therapeutic index of docetaxel by increasing its intratumoral concentration and duration of exposure. The nanoparticle consists of docetaxel encapsulated in polylactic acid with a hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) corona decorated with small-molecule PSMA-targeting ligands. BIND-014 allows gradual release of docetaxel upon degradation of the polylactic acid, while the PEG encapsulation helps escape the host immune response.
