Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Binghuang Fule ointment (冰黄肤乐软膏) is a traditional Chinese patent medicine and topical herbal ointment derived from a traditional Tibetan medical empirical formula. It is formulated with multiple active components, including rhubarb, turmeric, sulfur, scutellaria (Huangqin), licorice, borneol, and menthol. Developed by Tibet Hairong Tanggo Pharmaceutical (formerly Tibet Zhizhi Pharmaceutical), the ointment is approved in China for the treatment of pruritic skin diseases, including eczema, neurodermatitis, psoriasis, tinea pedis, and pruritus. It exerts anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antibacterial, and blood-circulation-promoting effects through the synergistic action of its herbal and mineral constituents. Binghuang Fule ointment is applied topically to the affected skin three times daily, and its safety profile generally involves mild, localized skin reactions such as burning, itching, and erythema.
