BIO 300 Oral Powder

BIO 300 Oral Powder is a solid oral formulation of nanocrystalline genistein, an isoflavone that enhances cellular DNA damage response pathways and exerts radioprotective, anti-inflammatory, and antifibrotic effects, being developed primarily as a medical countermeasure to prevent acute radiation syndrome and mitigate delayed radiation-induced lung injury and fibrosis in military and civilian settings.[1] Developed as a more bioavailable, shelf-stable amorphous dispersion of the same active pharmaceutical ingredient used in the earlier BIO 300 oral suspension, the powder formulation is designed for convenient tablet or capsule dosing while maintaining systemic genistein exposures associated with protection of lung tissue during or after radiation and potentially in post-viral lung injury such as COVID-19–related fibrosis.[1]
