Overview

Bio-PRF is a proprietary system and product for preparing platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), an autologous blood-derived biomaterial used in regenerative medicine and aesthetic procedures. Unlike traditional platelet-rich plasma (PRP), Bio-PRF uses a horizontal swing-out bucket centrifugation system to optimize the separation of blood components without additives or anticoagulants. This process yields a higher concentration of platelets, leukocytes, and monocytes within a fibrin matrix compared to other PRF protocols. The resulting PRF releases growth factors over an extended period (up to 10 days), promoting tissue regeneration, wound healing, collagen production, skin rejuvenation, and improved healing in both hard and soft tissues. Bio-PRF is primarily used for facial aesthetics (e.g., wrinkle reduction, skin tightening), dental surgery (e.g., bone grafting), wound care, and hair restoration[1][6][9].
