Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bio-restorative Skin Cream (marketed as Bio•Cream) is a topical biologic skincare product developed by Neocutis (a Merz Aesthetics brand). Its primary active component is Processed Skin Proteins (PSP), a proprietary blend of human growth factors, cytokines, and interleukins derived from cultured skin cells. The cream is designed to promote skin rejuvenation, tissue repair, and inflammatory modulation by stimulating collagen and elastin production. Beyond its widespread use as an anti-aging and post-procedure restorative treatment, it has been evaluated in a Phase 4 clinical trial for the treatment of vulvar vestibulitis syndrome (VVS) and is used to alleviate symptoms of atopic and irritative eczema, such as pruritus, erythema, and edema.
