Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BIOBank cortico-cancellous bone powder is an allogeneic bone graft product developed by BIOBank, a French tissue bank authorized by ANSM. It consists of a 50/50 mixture of human cancellous and cortical bone particles sourced from the femoral heads of living donors. The bone tissue is processed using the proprietary Supercrit® process, which employs supercritical CO2 for delipidization and viral inactivation while preserving the structural and biomechanical properties of the graft. Indicated for bone regeneration in maxillofacial, oral, and dental surgery, the product acts as an osteoconductive scaffold. The cortical component ensures slower resorption compared to pure cancellous bone, providing prolonged stability for guided bone regeneration (GBR) and pre-implant bone augmentation.
