Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BioCell Collagen is a patented, naturally occurring matrix of hydrolyzed collagen type II, chondroitin sulfate, and hyaluronic acid. It is derived from chicken sternal cartilage using a patented hydrolysis process that reduces the molecular weight of the components for improved bioavailability and absorption. As a nutraceutical, it is primarily used to support joint health by providing structural components for cartilage repair and lubrication, and to support skin health by improving hydration and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. It is marketed by Faran Shimi in Iran as a supplement for joint and skin maintenance.
