Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Biochaperone human insulin (HinsBet) is a novel rapid-acting formulation of recombinant human insulin developed using Adocia's proprietary BioChaperone technology. This technology forms a complex with human insulin to accelerate its absorption and onset of action compared to standard regular human insulin. The goal is to provide prandial (mealtime) glycemic control that approaches the performance of fast-acting analog insulins but at lower cost, making it particularly suitable for emerging markets where affordability is critical. In clinical studies, HinsBet demonstrated a significantly faster onset than regular human insulin and comparable early action to fast-acting analogs like aspart (NovoLog/NovoRapid). The formulation was well tolerated in trials with no significant side effects observed[6][9].
